To support this mission, we are seeking a Biology or Chemistry Teacher for the Science Department. In addition to teaching, the teacher will contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach up to 70% of a full timetable (currently 24 periods) and support advisory duties as assigned.
- Design and deliver engaging curriculum, fostering student confidence and a love for learning.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inquiry-based classroom environment.
- Support students' holistic development through well-planned activities and personalized attention.
- Guide students in critical and creative thinking through observation, experimentation, and project-based learning.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress; maintain effective communication with parents and colleagues.
- Serve as an Advisor to a small group of students, supporting their pastoral and academic well-being.
- Participate in supervision duties and uphold high standards of student conduct and welfare.
- Engage in professional development, collaborative meetings, and school-wide events as required.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive representation of the school at all times.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree or above in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of teaching experience in an international or similar school setting.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology.
- Language: Proficient in English with full capability to teach in English.
- Personal Qualities: Passionate about education, with strong communication skills and a collaborative, intercultural mindset.
- Age: Under 55 years old.
